At CHAMPS Academy, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may use it and how we keep it secure.

Who are we?

CHAMPS Academy, the UK’s largest Kids and Teens Confidence and Life-Skills Coaching company dedicated to helping Children and Young People increase their Self-Confidence and Happiness.  With Annette Du Bois or a CHAMPS Academy Coaching.

How we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you make a request for our services, for example, when you contact us about booking a free-trial coaching session, send us an email about our services or products, book a course or workshop, or if you register to receive one of our email newsletters or tips etc. Please note it’s very easy to opt-out or unsubscribe if you want to?

We may request basic info about your child/teen (if under 16 years) and the problems they are experiencing, so we can offer the most applicable help and support. You MUST give us permission to safely and securely store information on your child or teen that is relevant to the coaching and service delivery needs of CHAMPS Academy coaching.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number, IP address, and information regarding the specific needs of your child or teen.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

  • process free-trial requests you have submitted;
  • dealing with enquiries about our services etc;
  • obtain health information about your child/teenager, to ensure they have no health issues that could affect their participation in a coaching session, course or workshop (as/if applicable) or that would interfere or affect others around them;
  • seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
  • notify you of changes to our services;
  • send you communications which you have requested about our services;
  • activities, promotions of our associated services;

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant coaching agreement we have together (should you become one of our clients?).

Legitimate Interest

We may provide you with marketing information about products and services you have purchased or have demonstrated interest in, only for a reasonable amount of time. Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests. You can request that we stop doing this at any time.

We do not sell or freely distribute any information about you or your account to other parties. However, information about your account is available to key employees where relevant or the coach you have contacted. We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your choices

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive any communications from us about the incredible work we do for Kids and Young People and our exciting products and services, then you can select your choices by opting-in or out using the relevant boxes/sections situated on the form on which we collect your information.

We will not contact you for any purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. How you can access and update your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information CHAMPS Academy hold about you (or your child/teen). Simply contact us via one of the options on this page.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely.

Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Use of ‘cookies’ (where applicable?)

Like many other websites, the CHAMPS Academy website uses cookies. ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. This helps us to improve our website and deliver a better more personalised service.

16 or Under

We are concerned to protect the privacy of children aged 16 or under. If you are aged 16 or under‚ please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide us with personal information. We do NOT video-record coaching sessions or take pictures without first gaining express permission from the Parent where this is required for the purposes of coaching enhancement or follow up training. As a policy though, we DO NOT record coaching sessions but we may keep digital records on file of what the coaching covered with any individual child or teen.
