To teenagers they can seem exciting and risky and we’ve all seen the recent tragic headlines where these challenges have gone wrong.
What all Parents must remember is that the teen brain is not fully developed where rationale and sensibility can occur.
Peer pressure is firmly in place as an influence marker, whereas listening to a nagging Parent isn’t cool!
So, talking and preventive intervention is the best place to approach the subject. Not always easy, but it comes down to asking the right questions at the right time.
