Connected.
The conflict resolution system for parents of teenagers
Every argument with your teenager is really about something underneath the argument. Once you can see what that is — you stop fighting about the surface and start having the conversations that actually change things.

Most parenting advice tells you what to say.
Nobody tells you why it isn't working.
You've tried staying calm. You've tried being direct. You've tried giving space and you've tried pushing for conversation. And yet the same arguments keep happening, the same walls go up, the same distance remains.
The argument that never resolves
You cover the same ground every time. Nothing gets agreed. Nothing changes. Both of you end up more frustrated than when you started — and less willing to try next time.
The wall that goes up instantly
You say one thing and the shutters come down. They go to their room. They give one-word answers. You're locked out of what's actually going on with your own child.
The relationship that's drifting
It's not dramatic. It's quiet. Fewer conversations. Less warmth. A growing sense that the closeness you had is getting harder to reach — and you don't know what you did wrong.
Connected gives you the framework,
not just the phrases.
Most conflict advice gives you scripts. Connected gives you the diagnostic ability to understand what's actually driving the conflict — so you know which script to use, when, and why it works. That is a fundamentally different skill. And it changes every conversation you have, not just the ones you're prepared for.
The Connected Workbook
Seven sections that take you from understanding the framework to applying it in real situations. Includes a teen conflict profile diagnostic, 30+ live response scripts, a fully annotated practice scenario, and a 30-day habit tracker.
Printable · InteractiveThe Before Listen
A focused audio track designed to be listened to in the 10 to 15 minutes before a difficult conversation. Settles your nervous system, recaps the framework, and sends you in clear, regulated, and ready.
Audio — 6 to 7 minsFour More Audio Tracks
The Commentary Track — a real argument narrated with coaching at every key moment. Plus three Threat Profile tracks, one per ego threat type, each tailored to your teenager's dominant pattern.
Audio — 5 tracks totalEvery argument traces back to
one of three things.
When a teenager escalates, shuts down, or reacts disproportionately — their brain is responding to a perceived threat. Not to you. Not to the issue. To what the situation means for their sense of self, their autonomy, or their place in the world.
🪞 Identity Threat
"You're saying I'm not who I think I am."
Sudden defensiveness. Rewriting what happened. Needing to be the victim. "That's not what I meant." "You never think the best of me."
"I know that's not who you are. That's not what I'm saying. Let me be clearer about what I actually meant."
🎮 Control Threat
"You're taking away my ability to decide what happens next."
Talking over you. "You're not listening." Refusing things they'd otherwise agree to. Escalates loudly — then comes down quickly.
"I'm going to tell you what I see, and then you decide what to do with it. That's it."
🛡 Safety Threat
"I feel small, excluded, or judged right now."
Sarcasm. Sudden coldness. "Whatever." Picking fights after moments of closeness. Triggered by your success or comparisons to others.
"It sounds like it matters quite a lot — you just don't think I'm going to understand. Give me the chance."
What changes when you can
see what's really happening
| Situation | Without Connected | With Connected |
|---|---|---|
| Teen shuts down immediately | "Why won't you just talk to me? I'm your parent." | "I've noticed this week felt heavy. That's all. You don't have to explain anything." |
| Teen says "you always twist everything" | "No I don't — I'm just telling you what happened." | "You're right — let me rewind. I'm not questioning who you are, just what happened in that moment." |
| Teen refuses a reasonable request | "I'm your parent. You'll do it because I'm asking you to." | "Here's what I see. You decide what to do with it — it's genuinely your call." |
| Argument starts escalating | Raise your voice to be heard. Defend your position harder. | "Stop me. What do you actually need me to hear right now? I'm listening." |
| Teen picks a fight after opening up | Feel hurt. Withdraw. Wonder what you did wrong. | "I think that was a lot to share. We're good. You're still good." |

What people ask before joining
When does Connected launch?
We are putting the finishing touches on the course now. Everyone on the waitlist will receive an email the moment it is ready — with their early bird price locked in.
Is this only for parents in conflict with their teen?
Not at all. Connected is for any parent who wants to have better conversations with their teenager — whether things are already difficult or you simply want to get ahead of it. The course works whether conflict is frequent or occasional.
What exactly do I get?
Connected is a self-study course comprising the Connected Workbook — a fully interactive seven-section guide — and five audio tracks: The Before Listen, The Commentary Track, and three Threat Profile tracks, one for each ego threat type. Everything is designed to be used in real situations, not just read once.
What age of teenager is this for?
The course framework applies across the full teenage range — roughly 11 to 18. The ego triangle is not age-specific. However, the scripts and examples are written with older teenagers particularly in mind, from around 13 upwards.
I'm already on the CHAMPS™ Academy Coaching mailing list — do I need to sign up again?
Yes, please do. This waitlist is specific to the Connected course launch and ensures you receive the early bird pricing. Being on the general CHAMPS™ Academy Coaching list will not automatically secure your discounted price.
