    emotional resilience Jan 25, 2021

One of the most important skills a child or teenager needs today is ER...

    ...(Emotional Resilience).

You will also find a helpful image at the bottom of this page, that you can save (or share).

    I'm sure you agree.

But EVERYONE needs this, not just Kids!

Some people fall apart, while others seem to just pick themselves up, dust themselves off and carry on.

This is because they have developed coping skills, and the good thing is we can all learn and use them.

    Two important things are...

    • Flexibility
    • Adaptability

These are two of the most important factors in developing Emotional Resilience.

Without these, someone finds it harder to remove themselves from the pull of Negative feelings and change direction and find a newer perspective.

    • Negative thinking is like pouring paint or bleach into a bucket of water… when one bad thing happens, it starts to spread and discolour/taint everything else.
    • That’s why it’s so important to be aware of how your mind is trying to control you and your emotions can run wild.
    • Those who view situations as being temporary, will be more likely to see the same situation as a speed bump in Life's rear-view mirror.

Remember to Breathe, Think, Step Back and Release.

    Hope this helps...

Any questions, please ask. I will be covering more on this topic soon.

    Big smiles!  Annette x
