From Annette Du Bois — Confidence Coach
A message for you —
before you decide anything.
You probably didn't ask for this. Someone in your life suggested it. So before you make up your mind — read this first.
First thought
I get it. Your first thought was probably "great, so they think something's wrong with me."
It isn't like that. At all. I'm not here to fix you, analyse you, or give you a list of things you're doing wrong.
I work with young people every single day — and the ones who come to me aren't broken. They're smart, they're feeling a lot, and nobody has given them the right tools yet. That's the whole point.
Let's be clear
What I'm not.
So what actually happens?
Think of it as having someone completely in your corner.
Someone who isn't your parent, isn't your teacher, and has zero agenda except helping you get what you want.
We talk about what's going on for you — the stuff that feels heavy, the situations you keep getting stuck in, the moments where your confidence disappears and you don't know why. And then we work out what to actually do about it.
Most people feel a real difference within the first two or three sessions.
Think of it this way
Some analogies that might actually make sense.
Sometimes the best way to understand something new is to compare it to something you already know.
In any game, the right move at the right moment makes all the difference. Coaching gives you strategies for the real-world situations that feel impossible right now — so instead of fumbling through them, you know exactly what to do. It's not cheating. It's playing smarter.
You could turn up and guess. Or you could have someone show you exactly what works, watch your form, spot your weak points, and push you further than you'd go alone. Confidence works the same way. You can figure it out eventually on your own — or you can get there faster with someone who knows the way.
It's not that they can't play. It's that having someone else listen — someone trained to hear what you can't — helps you reach a level you'd never reach alone. Your mind works the same way. A fresh perspective from someone who isn't emotionally involved in your situation changes everything.
Growing up is like being dropped somewhere you've never been before and told to find your way. Some people wander for years. Others get a guide — someone who's been there, knows the shortcuts, and can point you in the right direction. That's what coaching is. Not someone taking the journey for you. Someone making sure you don't get lost.
Most people just use the default settings their whole lives. They think the way they think because nobody ever showed them there was another option. Coaching is like going into the settings of your own mind and adjusting what's been causing problems — not by changing who you are, but by understanding how you work.
What we work on
The stuff that's actually been bothering you.
Every person is different. But here's what comes up most:
What changes
Your life actually gets better. Here's how.
One more thing
It's just a conversation. Nothing more.
Everything we talk about is just between us. One to one. Online, from wherever you are — your bedroom, your kitchen, anywhere comfortable. No waiting rooms. No strangers. No awkward silences.
Private. Personal. Online.
Sessions are one-to-one on video — completely private, completely focused on you. Most young people tell me afterwards they wish they'd done it sooner. Not because something was badly wrong — but because once you have the tools, you can't believe how much easier everything feels.
"The moments that test you are exactly the ones that shape you. Even a diamond needs pressure to shine."
